Our story
Tawara Japanese Restaurant was started in 1981 by Mrs. Ishii, a very talented home cook from Tokyo.
Mrs. Ishii has opened 5 other Japanese restaurants in her long career as a restauranteur, but Tawara in Ramsey is the oldest.
Tawara is now run by her daughter Kiko, will the help of the stellar staff, many who have been there for over 30 years.
